Heavy rainfall in the coastal areas can occur due to low pressure

Situation Report #15, 29 September 2021

The well marked low pressure now lies over northwest bay and adjoining Bangladesh-West Bengal coast. All maritime ports have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3.
The chance of heavy to heavy falls on south western part of the country is high. Heavy rainfall can cause rise in sea water level which may result in inundation of lower lands.
Light to moderate rain accompanied with gusty wind is likely to occur at Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions and at many places of Dhaka and Chattogram divisions.
