One day Sphere and two days Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) training for Diakonia Bangladesh partners

Diakonia is a faith-based Swedish development organization, works with around 350 local partner organizations in 25 countries. Diakonia, as a CHS certified organisation, places communities and people affected by crisis at the centre of its action and promotes respect for their fundamental human rights.
Diakonia has organized different sessions on Sphere standards on different occasions and have been promoting partner organisations to adhere to Core Humanitarian Standards and have organized several discussion sessions in this regard. However, with new partners, changing context and to refresh understanding on this important standard, Diakonia Bangladesh Country Office would like to organize a training on Sphere standards and CHS.
Foundation for Disaster Forum (popularly known as Disaster Forum) is a Dhaka based National Disaster Preparedness Network of seventy humanitarian and development agencies, research institutions, government departments and independent activists who are working on various disaster and environmental issues with special focus on preparedness and community based Disaster Risk Reduction since 1994.
Disaster Forum is well recognized among the humanitarian and development community disseminating Sphere Standards in Bangladesh and South Asia. Disaster Forum translated all the versions of Sphere Handbook in Bangla in 2003, 2008, 2011 and 2018 (ongoing) and conducted a series of Sphere training and orientation focused on enhancing skills of humanitarian workers to apply Sphere standards through capacity building events as well as knowledge sharing.

Foundation for Disaster Forum is going to facilitate the training in face to face setting which is organized by Daikonia Bangladesh from August 01 to 03, 2022, in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The objective of the training is to improve the understanding of Sphere Standards and CHS.
