The broader project has been aiming to train Humanitarian Principles and Training skills to Bangladeshi staff involved in the Rohingya response around Cox’s Bazar. This work was done by three stages.
Stage 1 – Five one-day trainings for Senior Managers in Humanitarian Principles.
Stage 2 – Three three-day Training of Trainer courses (ToTs) aiming to teach training skills around Humanitarian Principles.
Stage 3 – is to support the participants from stage 2 to deliver their own Humanitarian Principles training. They have received training and all materials adapted and delivered their own sessions to a new set of participants.
With the experience of the first two stages of delivery NGO Platform requested to Foundation for Disaster Forum to check the translation of the materials and facilitation of the workshop. DF accordingly responded to that request, edited the translation, field tested those and met the selected (by RedR India) facilitators for briefing and planning.
The third stage of the training was organized jointly with NGO Platform, Foundation for Disaster Forum from 16-23 June 2019. The Main objective was to provide training to the field staffs with a shared understanding of humanitarian principles, and how to apply these practically in their work. A total of 181 participants from National and International NGOs were attended in the training. At Cox’s Bazar.
