Cyclone GULAB
The Cyclonic storm “GULAB” over northwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal moved westwards and now lay centered over northwest and adjoining West central Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move westwards and cross North Andhra Pradesh-South Orissa coasts according to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Maritime ports of Chattogram, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist distant warning number two, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said in a bulletin.
Forecast
BMD has forecasted that moderately heavy falls will occur over southern part of the country, with high probability of rain in Khulna, Satkhira and Barishal Districts. Light to moderate rain/thunder with gusty wind is likely to occur at Dhaka, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
